“I bought some Wagyu cross calves at the stockyards in 2019, fed them out and had the first steak at home. My wife says “we can’t run out of that!” We’re here to buy a bull.”

I continue to hear similar comments and the great experience people across the country have had with their first taste of Wagyu beef. This last week I was stopped twice in the airport and once at a retail store because I was wearing a Wagyu vest. One was to tell me how much they liked Wagyu beef and the other two were interested in investing in Wagyu genetics. They’ve been added to our contact list and will be getting updates on upcoming sales and other events of the American Wagyu Assocation.

These comments and others are reflective of the new membership applications we receive daily here at the AWA office. While 2020 was the strongest year historically for membership of the AWA 2021 promises to be even better! For the first three months of 2021 the AWA is experiencing a 49% increase in new membership applications compared to the same period of time last year!

Demand for Wagyu beef has never been greater than it is today! And we are sitting on the best market in the world for marketing Wagyu beef.

AWA to host 2023 World Wagyu Conference
I am excited to announce that the AWA Board of Directors recently accepted an invitation from the World Wagyu Council to host the 2023 World Wagyu Conference! We welcome the opportunity to invite the world to see great Wagyu genetics and experience our fantastic Wagyu beef.
