?The American Royal Association and Kansas State University Olathe are looking for the best-tasting steak and are inviting beef producers from across the nation to submit rib-eye steaks for the competition.
The second annual American Royal Steak Competition will be the week of Sept. 15 at K-State Olathe, with the winner to be announced at the American Royal’s 2013 Grapes & Steaks Competition on Oct. 9.
Steaks are submitted frozen to the K-State Olathe campus and entry forms must be submitted online at http://www.americanroyal.com under the special events tab. There is no entry fee for this competition.

The recent dispersal of the Belcampo Farms Wagyu herd last Sunday; April 28 drew a lot of interest from across the Country.?
The cattle were well presented and through the efforts of the Belcampo staff, JDA as sale manager and well known Auctioneer; Butch Booker the sale proved a huge success for the vendor; Belcampo Farms.

There were 53 registered buyers representing 8 states, 2 Canadian provinces and one Australian. Interest was high and bidding was brisk. Rocking 711, James Long of Houston, was this year’s volume buyer.

?The recent Houston Show reaped rewards for the Hamilton based Lee family. A Fullblood Heifer entered by Lauren Lee in the Houston Livestock Show successfully took out the Grand Champion Black Fullblood Female class.
