Junior Wagyu High-Point
All active Junior members will automatically be entered in the National Junior Wagyu Associations High-Point contest. Members will compete and collect points over the year by doing the activities listed below. This contest only includes activities completed in 2024. Each member is allowed to receive points for each activity listed below once per year.
Age Groups (age as of January 1st)
Junior: 10 and under
Intermediate: 11-15
Senior: 16- 20

How to Earn Points:
To earn points, all actions must be documented by completing the form below for each activity completed.
- Compete in Beef Bowl: 5pts
- Win Beef Bowl: 10pts
- Compete in annual AWA photography contest: 5pts
- Win annual AWA photography contest: 5pts
- Recommend a friend to join Junior Wagyu Association (friend must join): 5pts
- Exhibit Wagyu at a county show: 5pts
- Exhibit Wagyu at state show: 5pts
- Exhibit Wagyu at national show:5pts
- Compete in beef showmanship at your county show: 5pts
- Compete in beef showmanship at a state show: 5pts
- Compete in beef showmanship at a national show: 5pts
- Win beef showmanship at your county show: 5pts
- Win beef showmanship at a state show: 5pts
- Win beef showmanship at a national show: 5pts
- Become an active member of your local 4H group: 5pts
- Become an officer in your local 4H group: 5pts
- Exhibit a 4H project: 5pts
- Become an active member of FFA: 5pts
- Become an FFA chapter officer: 5pts
- Earn state FFA degree: 5pts
- Earn American FFA degree: 5pts
- Compete in a CDE contest: 5pts
- Compete in a LDE contest: 5pts
- Complete an act of community service: 5pts
- Register an animal with AWA: 5pts
- Attend AGM & Conference: 5pts
- Attend your county, state, or national cattlmens association meeting or conference: 5pts
- Compete in Annual AWA Junior Essay Contest: 5pts
All activities completed must but be submitted on the form below to receive points. If you complete activity 5, explain in the message box who you recruited. Activities 6-28 will require the signature of an advisor to earn points. The form below allows you to submit your advisors name and a file of their signature. This can be a teacher, country agent, coach, 4H leader, or a FFA advisor. Images are encouraged with every submission! If there are any questions please feel free to call or email the office. Contest is opened January 1st-Decemeber 31st of each year. Winners will be initially announced at National Western Stock Show.
