The American Wagyu Association, Inc was incorporated in Texas on March 14, 1990 and serves to register Wagyu and promote the breed throughout the US, Canada and other countries. The Association headquarters is located at the University of Idaho Research Park, Post Falls, ID. The American Wagyu Association has a vibrant membership base which continues to promote and develop the Wagyu influence in America and worldwide.
The opportunities Wagyu beef can offer are endless. Wagyu genetics cater to producers targeting the high end restaurant trade with highly marbled beef to the seedstock producer supplying the cow / calf producers a crossbred alternative that will offer calving ease and premium carcass quality in a single cross which no other beef breed can.
Wagyu has a vital role to play in today's beef industry, increasing the quality of red meat produced that health conscious consumer demand.
Full Membership

Full membership with the American Wagyu Association gives you access to the range of services that the Association offers.

International Membership

International memberships are welcome to join the American Wagyu Association and have access to a wide range of services that the Association offers.

Associate Membership

An applicant for Associate membership shall be a person or corporation interested in the Wagyu breed or involved in associated industries like wholesale / retail meat distribution and/or hospitality.

Junior Membership

An applicant for Junior membership shall be a person (under the age of 21) who may be involved in the raising or showing Wagyu or Wagyu-infused cattle. As a junior member you are entitled to record and register Wagyu cattle.

The American Wagyu Association, Inc is designated as nonprofit, 501(c)(5) member-based organization. The Association is governed by a legally binding Constitution and a set of Regulations (Bylaws) to which it enacts such.
